A little boy from Melbourne showed the world that there’s no such thing as a stupid question this week. Nine-year-old Jasper Francis wrote the cutest letter to Jetstar Airways in an attempt to get upgraded to business class on his upcoming flight.

“My name is Jasper Francis and I am 9 years old and live an hour outside of Melbourne,” he wrote. “I was just wondering whether kids are allowed to fly business class by themselves? I am saving my pocket money to get an upgrade on our flight: MEL-BKK on your Boeing 787 Dreamliner.” He mentioned that so far he had saved up $85 and added some wonderfully drawn pictures of the airplane taking off.

The airline staff were so touched by his request that they pooled together their $50 gift vouchers they received as a Christmas bonus and helped fulfill Jasper’s request. While Jasper can’t fly on his own in business class, the donations will allow him and his dad to be upgraded to business class on their flight to Bangkok in June.

They also invited him and his family for a tour of Jetstar’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner over the weekend. He got to meet with the flight crew and even sit in the pilot’s seat in the cockpit.

“Jasper’s always wanted to travel business class, and every time we go to an airport he’ll go up to the reservation desk and ask them if he can be upgraded to business class,” his mom Anna Francis said.

Jasper said he loves the experience of being in the sky and that he wants to be a pilot some day.

“I just feel like I’m on top of everything, looking at the beautiful views down below,” he told Today Australia.
