We didn’t think it was possible, but plastic surgery just got even more ridiculous.
One of the newest beauty trends to hit the market is the “Barbie back.” What could that possibly entail, you ask? It’s when someone decides, for reasons beyond our intellectual capacity, to have their lower back sculpted with dimples.
Yes, that’s right, like the ones you get when you smile. Except on your back.
“The lower back has always been a beautiful region of the female body; and I think it’s great that women are realizing its importance,” plastic surgeon Dr Mike Comins told The Telegraph.
Cumins, a leading London-based aesthetic surgeon, is so confident the trend is going to takeoff, that he’s created his own “Barbie Back” treatment dubbed the much more fancily named “Dimples En V.” The procedure involves removing fat from the back and reshaping it using a hi-tech form of liposuction treatment. On the plus side, compared to typical liposuction treatments, this one is less intrusive, it uses no general anesthetic and can be described as a walk in, walk out procedure.
On the downside though, it’s not cheap. At over $3,100, you better be sure you want those “Dimples En V.”
Otherwise, you might unintentionally end up looking like this.
