There are heaps of questionable sexy costumes marketed to women. We’ve seen sexy hamburgers, sexy Donald Trumps, sexy crayons, sexy pinatas. Now, thanks to American e-retailer Yandy, we can add Meghan Markle’s wedding dress to the list.
It’s called the American Princess, and while it doesn’t specifically call out the Duchess of Sussex, anyone who caught a glimpse of Meghan and Harry’s wedding day photos can see where the inspo came from.

The costume consists of a white mini dress that has a similar neckline to the Givenchy gown that Meghan wore during her nuptials in May, but it’s a whole lot shorter and a whole lot tighter. It also comes with a sparkly silver crown and veil.
“You’re living an actual fairy tale! Get ready to walk down the royal aisle in this exclusive American Princess costume featuring a white mini dress with an off-the-shoulder neckline, 3/4 length sleeves, a smooth bodice, a tulle veil with a large bow accent, a satin bow detail, and a bejeweled tiara,” the description reads.
They even feature the model with a Deal or No Deal style briefcase, making it all the more convincing.
The costume comes in three sizes — small, medium and large — and at the time of publishing this story, all three sizes are still in stock.
The Duchess of Sussex’s wedding dress seems to be the first sexy Royal costume on the market — a quick Google search for “sexy Kate Middleton costume” doesn’t yield any meaningful results. Imagine Kate scooped up one of these costumes and arrived to a Halloween party at Kensington Palace dressed up as her SIL!? Best Costume Award goes to…!
The American Princess get-up retails for $49.95 US, which is actually quite steep considering all you’re getting is a flimsy white dress and a piece of plastic shaped like a crown with a few pieces of tulle attached to the back. Plus, being in Canada there’s the extra cost of shipping and possible duties when the package does arrive.
Still, if you desperately want to rock the sexy Meghan wedding look this Halloween, consider a trip to the thrift store to find your royal gown, grab a pair of scissors and hack off the bottom. Then, use the money you saved on something more meaningful… like a Costco-sized bag of Kit-Kats.
