OK Go is the go-to band for amazing, groundbreaking music videos. You know, the kind you watch when productivity is low and procrastination is at an all time high. You may not even know their songs by name, but chances are you’ve seen at least one of their cinematic masterpieces: choreographed dogs, anyone?
The LA-based band’s latest endeavour may just be their most impressive yet. Watch as the four members make their way through the most mind-blowing optical-illusion funhouse ever created.
If your brain is anything like mine, you’ll need to watch that one a few times to fully appreciate the complexity of their visual trickery. Word is, the set took 3 weeks to create and then 50 takes to get the one-shot video perfect. Time well spent, if you ask me.
I’ve known bands who’ve put less effort into recording an entire album than OK Go puts into one video release. Case in point: The video that first made OK Go an Internet sensation, and propelled them to worldwide fame. I’m lucky if I can keep a slow pace on a treadmill without losing my balance. These guys definitely deserve all the praise they get.
