Ever since the college admissions scam came to light, Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin have taken a beating in the media and amongst their peers, rightfully so. In the wake of the scandal, Loughlin’s daughter, Olivia Jade Giannulli, has also gotten some heat and honestly, if one more video of the girl badmouthing school surfaces, we might scream. But Olivia Jade is also irritated, and pissed at her parents. But instead of throwing a tantrum, Olivia Jade is behaving like any other teenager: giving Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli the good old-fashioned silent treatment.

“She is still very upset at her parents,” a source told Us Weekly, While a lot of her friends are telling her “not to be mad at her parents since they were just trying to do the best they could for her,” Olivia Jade “doesn’t listen” and “feels she is the victim.”

Hmm, in this day and age, “victim” might be a little too strong a word, but — and hear us out — Olivia Jade might have a point.

Giphy

Based on what we’ve learned and what’s been shoved down our throats, the YouTube star wasn’t into post-secondary school at all, but her parents were dead set on that higher education. So instead of them supporting her with something she was passionate about, and helping to develop and cultivate her skills, they went the fraud route, and now Olivia Jade’s beauty career is going down the toilet. Which, for reasons we just elucidated, OJ blames her folks. According to her, Lori and Mossimo are the cause of her career’s downfall, which includes endorsement deals with Sephora and TRESemmé falling through. She also has a clothing line with online store Princess Polly but it’s been removed from the site.

It didn’t matter how unwilling OJ was, her parents forced her to go to a school she clearly had no desire to attend. That’s on Lori and Mossimo, not Olivia Jade. Forgive us if we’re not falling all over ourselves in sympathy, but we get it and we’d be peeved too. But, in the end, she’ll be fine. Someone will sign her to rep something and she’ll “go back to her life,” which is what she is hoping for. Her parents, on the other hand? Who knows.
