And, yes, that requires a coordinated team of professionals.

On Tuesday’s episode of Love Island (Monday-Sunday, 9pm on CTV), Johnny revealed not only that he's finally ready to commit 100% to Cely by asking her to be his girlfriend, but also that he would most certainly be a groomzilla if they ever make it to marriage. He's not the only Islander feeling the L-O-V-E though. The arrival of two new Islanders has turned OG Carrington into "Date Guy" and no surprise, it’s going directly to his head. Put Harry Styles on repeat, because this episode was packed with watermelon sugar.

CARING FOR CARRINGTON

New Islanders Julia and Lakeyn quickly made their intentions known and their focus was on hot Villa commodity Carrington. Julia wasn’t initially interested in Carrington, but after pulling him for a conversation, she found that he was more than just a pretty face. “He was very smart and I was surprised in a very good way,” said Julia. Her words, not ours, but yeah. It’s the complete and total absence of emotion when he speaks.
Lakeyn and Carrington initially connected on a strictly physical basis—Lakeyn was the Islander who got Carrington’s heart racing the most during the heart-rate dance challenge. That wasn’t a huge surprise since Lakeyn and Laurel could be twins, minus the very different accents. What was a surprise was how much Carrington opened up to Lakeyn once they moved five feet away from the pole and had a conversation. The pair bonded over their parents' divorces and having a close member of their family on the Autism spectrum. Lakeyn was quick to inform all the other women about her talk with Carrington, which upset Laurel who didn’t hear any of this personal information from Carrington after sharing a bed with him for 2.5 weeks. This seems like an ideal time for Laurel and Calvin to finally get their moment together. Just saying.[video_embed id='2040476']RELATED: Things get steamy on a heart-pounding ‘Love Island’ [/video_embed]

DATE GUY

As is tradition in the Love Island Villa, newbies Lakeyn and Julia got to pick an Islander to join them on a scenic date. Both women picked Carrington, marking his fifth and sixth date of the season. Carrington was quick to coin himself "Date Guy" and ask whether anyone in Love Island history has been on as many dates. “It’s hard not to feel amazing. I feel like a baller,” said Carrington. A humble and self-aware baller. Because of Covid (we assume), the locations for dates are limited, which means the women awkwardly sat 10 feet away from each other during their respective dates with Carrington. Enjoy your alone time, ladies, because that was the last of it until it’s time to wheel your white suitcase back through the Love Island tunnel.

THE FIRE UNDER MOIRA

Moira has struggled to find "The One" on Love Island, but the secret to her happy ever after may be competition. Everyone has their own love language. Only one day after friendzoning Calvin, the arrival of Lakeyn and Julia lit a fire under Moira that had her happily hopping into bed and snuggling up with Calvin. He was shocked (staying in character as a stripper-cowboy to wonder "What in tarnation is going on?"). We were not.

GROOMZILLA

After accidentally (we assume) letting a rogue "I Love You" slip during the recoupling, Johnny decided it was high time he made things official with Cely. He had quite a vision for how he wanted to ask her to be his girlfriend which required enlisting all the Islanders and most likely every producer on set. In a smart move, Johnny Boy relied heavily on Caleb and Justine, because if you want to make your relationship healthy and lasting, talk to Chrissy Teigen and John Legend.Although the whole girlfriend/boyfriend thing feels a bit like teenage romance stuff, Love Island is essentially R-rated sleep away camp. Plus, viewers have not forgotten about Casa Amor and Johnny needs to treat Cely like the queen she is. Plus-plus, Zac asked Elizabeth to be his girlfriend on the last season of Love Island and they won.
