The Duchess of Cambridge has one habit that marks her out from the rest of the royal clan (and other celebs in general) – she’s been known to outfit repeat from time to time. Now normally that phrase is loaded with all sorts of awful connotations, but that’s not how we mean it – we’re always glad to see Kate make the most of her well-tailored items. If the rest of us get a thrill when we take out favourite items out of the closet, why would the wife of the future king be any different?
While attending the Christmas party of the Rugby Portobello Trust for the Magic Mums in London, Middleton was spotted wearing a plum coloured coat by British maternity wear label Seraphine. And relatively speaking (we use the term loosely), it’s kind of affordable, at $495 US. We love that not only does she recycle her items, she’s got wide ranging taste too, that allows for the more accessible items. In the past she’s even been known to wear items from Zara.
Well into her third pregnancy, the Duchess was initially spotted decked out in the Seraphine coat when visiting New York city, and pregnant with her first child Prince George, in 2014.
Given the budget royals must have for their wardrobes, at least Kate falls somewhat on the more modest end of the scale. It just goes to show – you don’t have to spend the equivalent of a small country’s GDP to look elegant and sleek.
