The royals get gifts all the time during their walkabouts and things were no different on day four of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s royal visit, this time at Australia’s famed Bondi Beach. What was different, however, were some of the gifts. Well, one in particular. A fan reportedly dressed as a carrot handed Meghan that very thing: a bunch of carrots. Because, sure, why not?

The giant bear might be where your eyes automatically go, but look closer.

Pfft, flowers and stuffed animals are so overrated. Vegetables are where it’s at. And Meghan didn’t seem to mind at all, in  fact, she just had to tell Harry about it.

While some were confused as to why carrots, we have some theories. Harry is often referred to as a ginger but maybe this fan thought “carrot top” was more fitting?

Or, it could be in light of the news that Meghan is expecting; carrots are basically a superfood for pregnant women, what with the beta-carotene and vitamin A. Ideal for mom-to-be and baby. They’re also good for anti-aging and healthier skin, though we would argue that Megs is already glowing.

Or maybe the carrot gifter knows how much Meghan likes to cook — and bake. Her banana bread went over well the other day; carrot cake might be next on the menu.

An unusual souvenir? Sure. But one of a kind, so much so that Meghan, Harry and the rest of us are loving it. In fact, it might be the most memorable takeaway yet.
