Like it or not, we’ve got a feeling your clothes, cosmetics, bedroom walls and maybe even hair colour (a la Katy Perry and Kylie Jenner) will be turning green in 2017. But in a good way.
Meet Greenery, a Granny-Smith-apple like pigment that’s sure to make you long for a nature fix. We’re thinking blooming flowers and the green grass of springtime.
“Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, on another, and a larger purpose,” Leatrice Eiseman, executive director at Pantone said in a press release.
Since 1999, Pantone–the authority on all things colour–has been awarding one lucky hue the annual title of Colour of the Year. Past years have included a rainbow of colour from Aqua Sky in 2003, Tangerine Tango in 2012 and most recently Rose Quartz and Serenity in 2016.
Here’s some inspiration to get you in the mood for 2017’s hottest hue.
