Patrick Adams prepares for the end of ‘Suits’ with rare shots of Meghan Markle

It's the end of an era — the Suits era, that is. With the show ending on Wednesday, September 25, series star Patrick J. Adams is honouring the show he called home for nearly 10 years with an equally glorious trip down memory lane.Technically, Adams was only on the show for eight seasons as he departed the show in Season 8 when Meghan Markle called it quits (moving to the U.K. and marrying a prince can put a hitch in one's acting career). As Meghan's love interest throughout Suits' run, Patrick was tight with the now-Duchess of Sussex and has the pictures to prove it. As he prepares to say farewell to the series, Adams remembered the good times he had with Meghan and with the rest of the cast, including Sarah Rafferty, Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman and Gina Torres, by sharing those amazing behind-the-scenes shots with fans."This week the last episode of Suits will air and the nearly 10 year journey we've all been on together will finally be over," Adams captioned his first photo in the series of Instagram shots. "So it seems right to post some photos the next couple of days from the early days. This photo was from the first fitting I ever had for Mike Ross." And that was just the beginning. Patrick went on to post dozens of pics — including several of Meghan. "The best family you can ask for,” he wrote alongside the first big batch of pics. The photos of Meg are a mix, everything from Meghan standing outside her trailer, to the then-actress/now-duchess standing on the set, studying lines, lying on a couch in one of the offices, in a bathrobe, smiling under an umbrella, posing with Rafferty as well as a gorgeous black-and-white shot of Meg curled up in an armchair.

Meghan played Rachel Zane from 2011 to 2018 before leaving the show at the end of the seventh season, which aired a few weeks before her wedding to Prince Harry. In storyline destiny, Adams exited the series along with Markle, and Season 7 ended with Mike and Rachel getting married and heading off to Seattle to run their own firm.While Meghan retired from acting to embark on royal life, Patrick returned to Suits in Season 9. In that August episode, Mike was asked how Rachel was doing, to which he replied, "Good. If I told you how good, you probably wouldn't believe me." Ha!The Suits family really were family; Adams, Rafferty, Macht, Hoffman, Torres, Abigail Spencer and series creator Aaron Korsh all attended the royal wedding in May 2018."It's a new chapter," Meghan said about leaving her acting career during her first joint interview with Harry in November 2017. "Also, keep in mind, I'd been working on my show for seven years. So we were very, very fortunate to be able to have that sort of longevity on a series. And for me, once we hit the 100-episode marker, I thought, 'You know what, I have ticked this box, and I feel really proud of the work I've done there.'
