If you haven’t heard about Billions yet, you’re about to. It doesn’t premiere until Sunday, Jan. 17 on The Movie Network, but because the highly anticipated drama is so awesome, Crave is giving audiences a chance to watch it before anyone else. And free, to boot! No, really, you can watch it now. On Crave. Really.
The drama, which stars Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis, pits the two award-winning actors against each other in the icky and corrupt worlds of politics and finance. They do more than just butt heads; rather, it’s about who is swinging a bigger d*ck in this cat-and-mouse game.
The title obviously refers to money, but it’s also about power. Giamatti’s character, U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (with his perfect conviction record and even more perfect scowl), must bring down billionaire hedge fund king Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Lewis). And Axe’s smug face only eggs Chuck on.
Giamatti and Lewis aren’t the only reason to tune in. The other? The women who play their spouses:Maggie Siff, as Wendy Rhoades (who is linked to both men), and Malin Akerman as Lara Axelrod (who may look like arm candy but she’s more than just a trophy wife). The dudes may be chomping the scenery and spitting it out, but Siff and Akerman somehow manage to steal the scenes they’re in — a seemingly unimaginable feat considering their on-screen partners.
So if you love good TV, Billions is for you. We literally can’t wait. And we’re not going to!
Billions begins streaming Jan. 17 on CraveTV and premieres Jan. 17 on TMN.
