Spotting the Royal Family out in public is a lot like winning the lottery; unlikely, but awesome if it happens. Some residents of London, England must’ve felt like they hit the jackpot when they recently glimpsed what looked like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle out for a casual stroll with their pup, Guy, in a public park. But the excitement was short lived for most — souring to disappointment for some — as they realized the newlyweds they were about to encounter were entirely made of wax.

Madame Tussauds recently took its Megan and Harry wax replicas for a whirlwind tour of the city, and had a photoshoot along the way, capturing the unreal couple in real situations like having a drink together at a restaurant, where wax Meghan and wax Harry enjoyed a glass of wine and a beer. The faux couple also went to a park and walked a replica of Meghan’s rescue beagle.

But some people aren’t feeling the faux couple at all, taking to Instagram to express their sentiments.

“The Harry is really creepy doesn’t look right at all,” wrote @soniabainsy. “Way too big and [does] not really look like them lol,” echoed @venuspsychic.

“This is awful…. did the original wax maker retire??? This is terrible in its greater form!” wrote @gina_li_chi8.

Others were convinced that the photos were of real Meg and Harry, but reasoned that their faces looked slightly off because they were wearing masks. Ummm? No, the reason they look slightly off is because they are in fact made entirely of wax.

Meghan was initially introduced to the wax hall of fame back in May when she was newly engaged to Harry. In that scene, they were styled in their engagement outfits, including Meghan’s ring.

The Duke & Duchess of Sussex are hardly the first celebrities to put out those creepy vibes. Mel Gibson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Celine Dion and even Justin Bieber have had questionable wax figures of their likenesses on display in the good Madame’s hall.

Regardless of how each star’s static pose or slightly off facial features make you feel, you’ve got to admit that at least the stylists hit the mark. In Meghan and Harry’s case, they look as sophisticated and chic as usual… just with slightly eerie faces.
