You’ve probably been waiting with bated breath for Katy Perry to release her latest collection of vibrant and zany shoes. Well, whether you were excited about it or not, they’re here and they’re pretty, um, unique. The singer is known for her bold fashion sense, but these have really taken that and run with it.
It’s easy to picture Katy wearing these looks on stage or at her American Idol gig, but you’ll definitely turn heads in any office, mall or subway. Have you ever wanted your left foot to embody left shark? Or maybe your heel is lacking parrot wings? Katy’s got you covered. According to the Katy Perry Collection website, all the pieces are 100 per cent designed by her.

The collection also includes funky heels in the shape of “XO,” cacti, dice and linked chains. If you’re after a more formal look, there’s also a pair of tuxedo shoes, complete with a white collar and black satin bow tie. You’ll definitely be the classiest person in any room you enter, but you’ll have to be willing to part with almost $200 to get there.

We know the ‘90s have come back in a big way and part of that is the return of the jelly sandal. How did Katy modernize the old staple for 2018? The new shoes are fruity and fun and scented. Yeah, that’s right. Get these babies in lime, cherry, grape or strawberry. Be honest, it’s certainly not the worst your feet have ever smelled. That’s if you can get over the $65 price tag.
People are not exactly loving the new statement pieces, especially considering what they cost. The Sun is calling the collection “the ugliest shoes you’ve ever seen” and Twitter users are not being much kinder. Apparently shark shoes and scented jellies aren’t the hottest new spring fashion.

Did you all forgot that you are Forever 21 and not Urban Outfitters? You can’t sell 50$ sandals. You just can’t. Even with a died out celebrity’s name attached to it. Sorry

(Good! So now my feet can smell like lemon flavoured cheetohs! 😂)

While it seems Perry is really pushing the more unique pieces in her collection, there are other shoes, especially some of her strappy sandals and more neutral pumps that are worth a look if you’re after something a little out of the ordinary, but not too crazy.
