Now this is a version of soccer Canadians can get behind.

Pepsi just released a new advertisement that fuses the old sport with brand new technology. Introducing Drone Football, where the referee is a flying droid, goalposts are moving bright lights and the pitch is lined with flashing LEDs.

Let the games begin.

The supposedly unsuspecting teams set off a crazy light show as they start playing, with holograms of timers and special effects appearing all over. The company reports that the video was shot in Barcelona, Spain. And in case you were wondering what the soda tie-in was, the commercial ends with the Pepsi Max slogan “Maximum Game. No Daylight. Maximum Taste. No Sugar.”
