Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson may have split up a couple of months ago but they’re still connected. Ari’s song, “Thank U, Next” continues to have a stranglehold on Top 40 radio. There was also Pete’s health scare several weeks back, which fired up the singer to check in on her ex and urge her fans to be kind and leave him alone. Davidson, for his part, has referenced her on SNL and during various stand-up routines in totally normal ex-ish ways. Nothing ever mean or malicious; simply material or fodder for a joke.
Davidson performed at the Tarrytown Music Hall in New York, and once again Grande’s name came up. He brought up that time Ari “joked” about the size of his penis.
FYI, she deleted the tweet, of course, but we live in a tweet-and-delete world so people know when they read something juicy, they’re going to have to pounce and screenshot it so it forever lives in infamy.
Now Pete wishes she never made the crack about it in the first place.
“I don’t like that she talked all that shit for my penis,” Davidson said during his performance, according to People. “Everything is huge to her.”
He continued, acknowledging it was both a “mean” and “genius” move on Ari’s part: “Why would she tell everyone that I have a huge penis? So that every girl who sees my d*ck for the rest of my life is disappointed.”
Will they be, though? Grande referred to it again in the video for her breakup anthem, so it seems to be a thing. Only future dates of Davidson, and those nearest and dearest to him, will ever know.
But it’s not the first time Pete’s brought up the size of his penis and the size of his ex-girlfriend. In a super-revealing interview with Howard Stern last September, he was of course asked about it and Pete was honest as ever; “I think I have an average sized penis and she’s tiny. Everything’s big to her.”
This latest penis update, however, was simply a comedian making a joke at his own expense. That’s it. People are constantly trying to stir up drama where these two are concerned, but they’re over. Yes, he still mentions her from time to time, but more for context than anything else. Let’s let them go already. Let them live on in social media; you know, until the posts are deleted.
