Pharrell is expanding his empire once again, this time adding interior designer to an already stacked resume that includes singer, rapper, producer, model, and fashion designer. Just announced on Tuesday, the new building will be located at Yonge and Eglinton in midtown Toronto. In an announcement made in Dundas Square on Tuesday, the project was described as a two-tower residential building with 750 units, including one, two- and three-bedroom options. Working with Reserve Properties and Westdale Properties, the new project will include a 30,000 square foot space for amenities, which is where Pharrell will lend his artistic eye. Pharrell wasn’t present for the announcement on Tuesday but did appear in a new ad for the property on a screen attached to the Eaton Centre. Announcing the building name of Untitled, Pharrell speaks directly into the camera and says “What's in a name? Who you are, what you do, how you love, what you seek, how you feel. Where you live defies labels. Space is only a backdrop. The experience is you. Live your life untitled."The new ad for the property ended with a video of Pharrell that he shot on his phone. Apologizing for missing the announcement on Tuesday, Pharrell says that he can’t wait to get to Toronto in the new year and begin working on Untitled. "When they walk into the building, we want to make sure that it continued to like, give you the message of like this amazing vibration of being home. It's universally beautiful, but there's enough space for you to get into it and make it yourself,” said Pharrell. "I feel like when the world sees it, it'll be just another one of those beautiful ornaments of the beautiful city of Toronto." Pharrell isn’t the only musician who is getting into the design game. Lenny Kravitz has also been designing homes and hotels, including the Bisha Hotel in Toronto. Kravitz decorated the entire seventh floor of the luxury hotel, which included 13 rooms and three suites. The rocker has previously collaborated with furniture store CB2, as well as SLS Hotels.Speaking with etalk’s Tyrone Edwards, Kravitz said that he wanted the rooms at Bisha to have all the luxuries of home. “You’re looking to feel at home for that 24 or 48 hours,” said Kravitz. “You want it to feel like an apartment. You want to feel at home and you want to have the things you need. For me, that’s a kitchen is very important,” said Kravitz.[video_embed id='-1']Lenny Kravitz reflects on 30 years of 'Let Love Rule'[/video_embed]
