The life of a pilot seems both exhausting and exhilarating all at once. There’s the non-stop jet lag, but also the excitement of waking up on another side of the world. There’s the long and sometimes lonely shifts, but also the opportunity to make new friends from different cultures. Like most professions, flying has its ups and downs, literally and metaphorically.

A young Dutch pilot’s Instagram feed, however, seems mostly glamorous.

Lindy Mariëlle Kats (a.k.a. Pilot Lindy) is a 24-year-old Boeing 717 pilot who’s been growing an audience on social media by consistently peeling back the curtain on her every day life. If her cockpit and runway selfies, beach pics and videos taken all around the world don’t give you travel envy, we’re going to take a wild guess and say you probably don’t like flying.

Lindy’s pilot life has her traveling often, obviously — her Instagram feed features photos from all sorts of beautiful locations.

She’s often out and about, making friends on the road or meeting up with fellow frequent flyers.

Feeling ready to redeem those Air Miles yet? Pilot Lindy’s jet-setting ways have earned her close to 80,000 Instagram followers and a healthy subscriber list on YouTube as well. But at the end of the day, it’s still work.

“It’s a job — it’s the best job in the world and I love it — but it is a job, and waking up at four in the morning is really not nice, even if you’re going to do something really fun,” she says in one of her YouTube videos.

It’s worth pointing out that Pilot Lindy is a beautiful, young woman, which never hurts when it comes to social media growth. Plus, it’s hard not to be interested in the insights that she gives about an industry that a lot of people don’t know much about — and she does it all while inspiring travel along the way. Keep flying high, girl!
