Pink is doing her part to help stop the spread of COVID-19 but quarantining at home with her husband Carey Hart and the couple’s two children, 8-year-old Willow and 3-year-old Jameson. But after a few days of trying to keep their kids busy and themselves as calm as possible among all the devastating news being shared around the world every day, the parents are becoming a bit restless and looking for new ways to entertain themselves. That’s right, we’ve reached the stage of quarantine when cutting your hair seems like a good idea.Pink shared her handiwork on Instagram, admitting that she decided to grab a pair of scissors after a night of drinking. Sharp objects and alcohol are never a good mix, but at least Pink has a safety net of great hats in her closet. Joking that she’s made drinking ‘a sport’ during the COVID-19 outbreak, Pink is sharing her story as a warning to others who may be doubting the need to use a professional when it comes to clipping their locks. There’s a reason hairdressers go to school to learn their craft.[video_embed id='5993935667001']RELATED: Pink fires back at 'offended' critics[/video_embed]“This is my PSA,” said Pink. “When I drink, I get really, really brilliant ideas and last night I got an idea I can cut hair. I can totally cut hair. Why have I been paying people all this time,” asks the singer, who reveals her short new ‘do under a toque. “I might try to fix it tonight. What do you think?” says Pink, adding “Stay safe. Stay home. Cut your own hair. Screw it!”

Quarantine diaries

Pink’s hair isn’t the first casualty of the Hart family’s time in quarantine. Last week, the popstar shared a video of her daughter Willow giving dad Carey a buzzcut, going with the Full Metal Jacket look. Maybe giving kids more screen time isn’t so bad.

The family have kept their sense of humor throughout these uncertain times. Both Pink and Carey have been sharing photos of the family’s time physical distancing, which in addition to haircuts has also included archery practice, baking, workouts, music lessons and watching the series Billions. Pink is also one of the musicians who has been giving free concerts on her social media, helping to entertain fans and send love to those who are suffering.

In other hair quarantine stories, Kelly Ripa and Kevin Hart are showing their true colours -- literally. On March 22, daytime talk show host Kelly updated fans on week one of her ‘root watch.’ The Live with Kelly and Ryan star has opted to stay at home and self-isolate instead of heading to the salon for her usual touch-up. Not all heroes wear capes (we tease, but Ripa is really a hero).[caption id="attachment_4878426" align="alignleft" width="500"] Instagram/@KellyRipa[/caption]Kevin Hart has also been skipping his hair treatments while staying at home with his growing family. The comedian has been posting daily videos sharing hilarious true stories and has been quick to acknowledge that he looks a little different from how fans are used to seeing the 40-year-old actor with black hair. “I have always had a shit load of grey hair,” writes Hart. “I was just a frequent dyer. I’m not working right now so I said F**K IT.”
