The Barton Bellas may have graduated in 2015’s Pitch Perfect 2, but that doesn’t mean their songbook is complete. Just released this weekend, the first trailer for Pitch Perfect 3 is here and packing all of the music, girl power, and inappropriate comments that we have come to love from the a cappella franchise.

With college over, the Bellas are now doing their best to navigate adulthood and finding little to no success. Anna Kendrick’s Beca has just lost her job, while her roommate Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) is performing in Times Square as an Amy Winehouse impersonator. Brittany Snow’s Chloe is finding that getting into vet school comes with a price, while Chrissie Fit’s Flo was thankfully not deported as she thought she would be in Pitch Perfect 2, but instead is in the US serving overpriced juices to rich white women. The rest of the Bellas aren’t faring much better, so when Aubrey (Anna Camp) suggests they audition for the annual USO concert, it’s all vocal cords on deck.

The first trailer introduces the upcoming films’ newest villain, an all female rock ‘n roll band fronted by actor Ruby Rose. The USO concert will have the Bellas entering new territory by facing off against competitors using actual instruments and not just their mouths. Expect many dirty jokes to ensue.

Elizabeth Banks and John Michael Higgins return as the hilariously sarcastic and often cruel a cappella commentators Gail and John. The duo will be traveling to the USO Concert along with the group to ensure they are demoralized every note of the way.

Banks, who directed the second Pitch Perfect film, handed over the director reigns to Trish Sie for the upcoming final installment, with writer Kay Cannon returning for the third time.

Pitch Perfect 3 sings its way into theatres on December 22.
