A Seventeen beauty writer discovered that pizza grease just might be the kryptonite to all our favourite long-wear lipsticks. While having a slice of pepperoni during lunch, Kelsey Stiegman noticed her Wet N Wild’s MegaLast Matte Liquid Lipstick (known to beauty addicts as the latex paint of lipsticks) was no longer mega-lasting. Stiegman’s “life-proof” lipstick was suddenly not so life-proof after all, and pizza grease was victorious against claims of being eat, drink and kiss-proof.

To further test her theory, Stiegman then slathered the grease all over her lipstick and filmed it all for posterity.

Our verdict? While you probably won’t be throwing away your micellar water any time soon, it just might be a good enough reason to have pizza for dinner again tonight.
