Nine years after being stripped of its planetary status, Pluto’s finally get its time in the sun.
In an apology of sorts, humans sent a probe on a 3 billion-mile journey to the dwarf planet for a quick fly-by. Now, almost a decade later, we’re finally getting a look at the little ball we’ve never seen before, at least not this closely. And, frankly, we humans are quite impressed. It seems the most impressed, though, are the people of the internet. They can’t seem to get enough of Pluto and have decided that it deserves meme status. What good are amazing new Pluto images without making them go viral? Welcome to 2015, little dwarf planet.
