Police see a lot of ugly things.
Drugs, gangs, cat penises – it can be a tough job. That’s why the crew aboard a London Metropolitan Police helicopter was probably shocked when instead of finding crime, they discovered love.
All the way down on the ground were the words “Will you marry me?” spelt out entirely in candles. A figure can be seen bending down on one knee before the couple embraces for a hug (you can see that moment captured at 02:31 in the video above).
The MPS Helicopters Twitter account later posted, “We think we have just seen the most romantic guy in north London. More later! #willyoumarryme?”
Then they attempted to find the happy couple:

It didn’t take long for one of the account’s followers to step forward with the details. But MPS Helicopter wrote that the couple wished to remain anonymous.
