The American Music Award nominations were announced this morning and it looks like it’s going to be a good night for some of music’s biggest stars. Post Malone leads the nominations with an impressive seven nods while Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande aren’t far behind at six nominations each. While Grande and Posty already have several AMAs under their belts, it’s Eilish’s first time being recognized by the awards show. The AMAs are known for their jaw-dropping live performances and 2019 is bound to be a good year, with additional nominations going to Halsey, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Travis Scott, Drake, BTS, Lil Nas X and Lizzo, among others. While this year’s performance lineup hasn’t been announced yet, you can be we're going to see at least some of these nominees hitting the stage. Last year’s awards saw Malone give a fiery rendition of "Psycho" and "Better Now" before taking home hardware for Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year and Pop/Rock Male Artist. Grande was nominated last year but chose not to attend, staying home with then-fiance Pete Davidson. (Remember Pete and Ariana, guys?) Billie Eillish may be an AMA newcomer, but her noms should come as no surprise after a meteoric rise this year. The 17-year-old recently gave a gravity-defying performance of "Bad Guy" on SNL and has been selling out shows across North America on her When We All Fall Asleep world tour. Let's all cross our fingers and hope for an AMA performance of "My Strange Addiction" with cameos from the cast of The Office. Also making waves at this year’s AMAs is Taylor Swift, who scored five nominations including one for Artist of the Year, the night’s biggest honour. Swift currently holds the record for the most wins in this category, having taken it home four times already. The "Lover" singer is set to break an additional record if she takes home two 2019 AMA trophies, which would allow her to surpass Michael Jackson’s record for the most ever won by a single artist. The American Music Awards will take place on November 24 in L.A.[video_embed id='6015735052001']RELATED: Ariana Grande remembers Mac Miller at Sweetener World Tour[/video_embed]
