Yep, just when you thought he couldn’t get any cuter, Prince George and his floppy hair puts on a quilted navy hooded coat (with elbow patches!), a baby blue knapsack and treks off to school. OK, he was probably driven there by his dad or a royal chauffeur but still. It’s a royal milestone!

Prince William and Duchess Kate released two photos of their son on the British Monarchy Facebook page. The shots of their son arriving for his first day at Westacre Montessori School nursery in Norfolk.

It was Kate who took the pictures in front of a mural on the outside of the building. The school, which is housed in a converted chapel, is only 16 km away from the family’s Anmer Hall home on the Queen‘s Sandringham Estate.

Daily Mail reports the school only takes 29 children at a time and costs £33 a day ($68), which is modest compared the institutions that William and Harry went to in costly London.

Can Kate please keep updating the Facebook feed with the macaroni art and fingerpainting projects and puzzle-solving George will be doing? Because we can’t wait to see what this kid is going to do. It seems crazy that George is already in school. Wasn’t he a teeny tiny baby just yesterday? Sigh. They grow up so fast.
