Princess Diana’s former lover sets the record straight
ICYDK, Diana, Princess of Wales, and cavalry officer-turned-riding-instructor James Hewitt had an affair while she was married to Prince Charles. He, of course, was philandering with now-wife Camilla so it was all a big, open secret. That being said, Diana and James were together for five years, and those years coincided with the birth of her second son, Harry. For the longest time, and considering the timing and physical resemblance, it’s been suggested that Harry is James’ son, but Hewitt opened up about the longstanding rumours and hopefully put an end to all the talk.
“Are you Harry’s father?” Australia’s Sunday Night host Melissa Doyle asked Hewitt, to which he firmly replied: “No, I’m not.”
As far as Hewitt’s concerned, the rumour is still circulating because it “sells papers,” adding that it’s “worse for [Harry], poor chap.”
So that’s that. Charles is Harry’s dad. Now let’s move on to more exciting rumours. Like Harry and Meghan getting engaged. We’re thinking by summer’s end, he’ll have popped the question. Let’s get that going.
Miley and Liam may have gotten married
Speaking of engaged, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been re-engaged for a while. But a few days ago, Billy Ray Cyrus posted this on his Twitter, making people with eyes wonder if the sweet caption, white dress and joyous face meant his daughter and Hemsworth finally made it official.

It’s the kind of thing a dad would say about his newlywed daughter but after all kinds of headlines and tweets on social media, Billy Ray cleared the air. And by “cleared the air,” we mean “was just as confusing as ever.”

GAH! What does that even mean? Just tell us, Billy Ray! Did they get married or not?! Enquiring minds NEED to know.
Seriously, Ed Sheeran’s going to be on the next season of Game of Thrones
Ed Sheeran, the crooner of “Thinking Out Loud,” “Shape of You,” and “Photograph”, will appear in the bloody, broody seventh season of the hit HBO series. Really.
GoT showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss announced the casting news on Sunday at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas, saying that Sheeran is a favourite of series star Maisie Williams. “For years we were trying to get Ed Sheeran on the show to surprise Maisie and this year we finally did it,” Benioff said.
And while GoT has featured cameos by other musical artists in the past (Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol, Will Champion from Coldplay, Sigur Rós, and Mastodon), Sheeran is clearly the biggest name yet.
Game of Thrones returns July 16 on HBO. Details on who Sheeran will be playing and when his episode (episodes?) will air haven’t been revealed but you can bet he’ll have some interaction with Arya Stark.
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes went to SXSW together … but still weren’t seen together
Eva Mendes made a rare public show of support for her partner, Ryan Gosling, at the SXSW festival on Friday — but she is so used to staying on the DL, it was like she wasn’t even there.
Mendes posted a pic of the Paramount Theatre in Austin, where Gosling walked the red carpet with his Song to Song co-stars Michael Fassbender, Berenice Marlohe and Rooney Mara, but aside from that photo evidence no one actually knows if she was there. Oooh, because maybe she wasn’t. Maybe this was simply a photo Ryan took, sent to her, and she posted it, just to make it seem like she was there, all while being safely ensconced at home with their daughters. Supporting from afar, that seems about right.
“What people don’t know about me is that I love being home,” Mendes told Shape magazine. “Instead of hitting the red carpet, I’d rather be with our girls.” We got two pics of them together — at the TIFF premiere of their 2012 movie The Place Beyond the Pines and at 2015’s SXSW — and that might be all we’re going to get, ever. Um, who do they think they are, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin? We get being fiercely private but the couple of five-plus years are taking it to the extreme.
Scarlett as Ivanka on SNL was kind of great
Scarlett Johansson stepped up in her fifth time hosting Saturday Night Live but it was the spoof of a perfume commercial that had viewers buzzing.
Scarlett, as Ivanka Trump, is seen walking through a black-tie affair as everyone turns to look. A voiceover introduced her: “She’s beautiful, she’s powerful, she’s complicit.”
She then gazed into a mirror, only to see Alec Baldwin as President Donald Trump reflected back.
“A feminist, an advocate, a champion for women, but, like, how?” the voiceover asked, before noting, “When she watches Titanic she thinks she’s Rose — sorry, girl, you’re Billy Zane.”
The fake ad concluded with its scarily real tagline, “The fragrance for the woman who could stop all this, but won’t.” Hopefully, SNL won’t stop either.
