Prince William was booed at Westminster Abbey

William, who has served as Commodore-in-Chief of the Royal Navy’s submarine service since 2006, attended Friday’s service at Westminster Abbey honouring their peacekeeping efforts. And he didn’t exactly get a warm welcome. On the contrary, he was greeted with boos.

Protesters had gathered to express their discontent, specifically about a sub that patrols with nuclear missiles, leaving many there believing the event celebrated those devastating weapons.

According to the BBC, chants of “Shame on you” could be heard as William arrived with defence secretary Penny Mordaunt.

“I’m surprised that he would come and support something that could destroy our planet,” activist Omar Ahmed told the BBC, while Kate Hudson (no, not that Kate Hudson), head of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, called the commemoration “disappointing.”

Seems Will didn’t agree, as he was part of the day’s program, where he read a passage from the Bible.

Why even bother?

Remember that two-day visit to the Netherlands Prince Harry had scheduled for this week? Welllll, slight change of plans. The Internet thought it was because of Baby Sussex, and they were right!

That doesn’t mean the palace didn’t try to keep things under wraps for as long as possible. “Due to the logistical planning for the traveling press to cover visits and engagements by The Royal Family, we have taken the decision to postpone The Duke of Sussex’s scheduled visit to Amsterdam on Wednesday 8th May 2019,” a spokesperson for the couple told People. “The Duke is currently scheduled to travel to The Hague on Thursday 9th May for the launch of the Invictus Games The Hague 2020 as planned.”

Harry wasn’t the only royal with an engagement coming up. Prince Charles and Camilla will be in Germany for three days, beginning on May 7, while Prince William and Duchess Kate head to North Wales on Wednesday. Of all the weeks for the royals to be so busy, it had to be this one. But now that baby boy Sussex is born, it’s all moot anyway; he’s going to get ALL the coverage. And we can’t wait!

Luke Perry was buried in an eco-friendly mushroom suit

It’s been two months since Luke Perry passed away but it still feels like yesterday. His daughter, Sophie, shared a pic of mushrooms on her Instagram on Friday — maybe the last thing you’d expect to be related to her dad. But the meaning behind it is so, so good.

💋In December I went to San Francisco with two of my best friends. One of them, had never never been to California, so we went to show him the Redwoods. I took this picture while we were there, because i thought, “damn, those mushrooms are beautiful.” Now, mushrooms hold an entirely new meaning for me. Any explanation i give will not do justice to the genius that is the mushroom burial suit, but it is essentially an eco friendly burial option via mushrooms. All i can say is that you should all look into them at coeio.com or just by googling “mushroom burial suit” . My dad discovered it, and was more excited by this than I have ever seen him. He was buried in this suit, one of his final wishes. They are truly a beautiful thing for this beautiful planet, and I want to share it with all of you.

One of Luke’s final wishes was to be buried in a mushroom suit because of all the natural benefits. According to the link in Sophie’s caption, the burial suit “cleanses the body and soil of toxins that would otherwise seep into the environment, delivers nutrients from body to surrounding plant roots efficiently and restarts life around the body faster than normal,” is biodegradable, and reunites the body with the earth and the ongoing cycle of life. Sounds perfect for Perry.

Kim K. makes $1 million for every sponsored Instagram post

Kim Kardashian may be studying to be a lawyer, but if someone told her to give up her day job, we’re not sure she would want to. The reality star is currently dealing with a lawsuit from fashion brand Missguided. According to TMZ, Kim claims the company uses her image to sell their products; and because they haven’t responded to her suit, she wants $5 million from them.

While Kardashian stated in the court docs that she earns between $300,000 and $500,000 for an Instagram post, an industry source told the gossip site that Kim makes more for sponsored posts. Significantly more. Try $1 million.

Kim added in the docs that she often turns down offers for that kind of cheddar because she doesn’t want to associate the Kardashian name with lesser brands. Considering how much Kim knows about the law, we’re guessing this suit is going to work in her favour.

Diana Ross says she was violated by a TSA agent

Diana Ross has not had a good Sunday. The legendary singer took to Twitter to describe her terrible experience leaving the airport in New Orleans, where she performed at the Jazz and Heritage Festival. Ross claimed she felt “violated” after an incident with a TSA agent. Ugh.

A spokesperson for the TSA told People that the officers involved “correctly followed all protocols,” but added that the matter will be further investigated and encouraged Ross to contact TSA so they can “work with her directly to address her concerns.”

Ross followed her Twitter complaints with a video from the festival, reassuring fans she’s “feeling better.” That’s reassuring.
