It’s official — Princess Charlotte of Cambridge isn’t a baby anymore, and we don’t know whether to laugh or cry. We do know that she’s as adorable as ever. The two-and-a-half-year-old started at Willcocks Nursery School on Monday and from the look on her face, she couldn’t be happier and more proud of herself. (And even though we can’t see pics of her parents, Prince William and Duchess Kate, who took the shot, we’re guessing they felt the same.)

In true Cambridge fashion, William and Kate released two photos from what was presumably a hectic morning, since it was not only a school day but also the first Monday post-holidays. Not that you can tell from Charlotte’s face, though. She looked like she was ready to rock it.

Maybe it’s because she was wearing her favourite colours, pink and red. Not sure what we love more — the wool coat, matching red bow and sensible Mary Janes, or her powder pink knit scarf — tied like a pro, of course — and sassy polka-dot strapped rucksack.

Not that Will or Kate are expecting any calls from the school but, in case they do ring, Willcocks just happens to be next to Royal Albert Hall, about three minutes away from Kensington Palace.

For now, Prince George continues his schooling at Thomas’s Battersea, where he began in September. Perhaps Charlotte will join her big brother next year. For now, separate schools will have to do. Heck, for some siblings, it might not be the worst idea.

Until the Palace releases more of Kate’s candid shots of Char, we’ll just have to make do with these beauties.
