There’s a new Jonas sister
After a quick courtship, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are married. The couple had two ceremonies to celebrate their love, the first a Christian one, which happened on Saturday and was officiated by Nick’s pastor father, Kevin Jonas Sr. The Hindu ceremony took place on Sunday, at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
The celebrations really started on Friday, however, during the couple’s Mehendi ceremony. Things got wild when Priyanka, Nick and all their loved ones took part in a Sangeet, an over-the-top party with performances by the couple and honouring them as well.
Um, this should be mandatory at all weddings going forward.
Just look at them on their Vogue spread (the mag’s first-ever digital cover, btw). We already know what their future children are going to look like (beautiful, in case you weren’t getting where we were going). Congrats to the happy couple!
Kat Von D is a mom
She said it would never happen, but never say never.
It was one year ago this month that the modern day renaissance woman shared her thoughts on motherhood with Dr Drew, “No children for me. The funny thing is that I’ve known since I was 7 years old that I was never going to have kids.” But look at the difference a year makes!
That’s going to be one cool kid. Oh, and, at what age are tattoos legal? Asking for a friend.
Brad and Angelina will avoid going to trial after reaching temporary custody agreement
If you were thinking that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie would be engaged in a long, messy trial to figure out the custody of their six children, we’re happy to say you (and we) were wrong. Two years after announcing their separation, the exes reached a temporary child custody agreement.

“A custody arrangement was agreed to weeks ago and has been signed by both parties and the judge,” Jolie’s lawyer told Us Weekly in a statement on Friday. “The agreement, which is based on the recommendations of the child custody evaluator, eliminates the need for a trial. The filing and details of the agreement are confidential to protect the best interests of the children.”
According to an insider, they’ll have “joint physical and legal custody” and in the next couple months, Pitt’s visits will no longer be monitored.
“The children will immediately begin to have overnight visits with their father,” said the source. “The monitors will be in place for those first overnight visits, and this was done at Brad’s request. Brad recognizes this is going to be a change from what the norm had been and wants to make the transition as smooth as possible.”
People‘s source added that the agreement isn’t permanent but at least “things [are] moving along in the right direction.”
When it comes to these kids, that’s all that matters. Here’s hoping it goes well, for everyone involved.
George and Charlotte get their own Christmas tree to decorate at Grandma Carole’s
In an interview that we’re going to take time out of our afternoon to fully dig into, Duchess Kate’s mom Carole revealed a few tidbits about what holidays at Casa Middleton are like. If you’re thinking fancy, luxurious and over-the-top, well, it seems fancy, luxurious and over-the-top are relative terms. According to George (the future king) and Charlotte’s Grandma, her life is actually “really normal most of the time.”
Be that as it may, we think the fact that each grandchild’s room gets its own tree is pretty fancy, and we’re sticking to that position. Not to say we don’t like the idea; according to Grandma Middleton the little ones get to decorate their own trees. How cute would that be? We’d love to see what George and his little sister come up with. Macaroni garland? Dried orange slices? Diamonds? Maybe not diamonds. But who knows.

Michelle Obama cancels book tour dates to attend George Bush’s funeral
George Herbert Walker Bush, 41st President of the United States, passed this Sunday, after a long life in service. Public figures the world over paid respects and expressed condolences. Among the most eloquent were the words shared by the Obamas.
America has lost a patriot and humble servant in George Herbert Walker Bush. While our hearts are heavy today, they are also filled with gratitude. Our thoughts are with the entire Bush family tonight – and all who were inspired by George and Barbara’s example. pic.twitter.com/g9OUPu2pjY

Anyone who follows politics, Michelle Obama, or even reads Twitter knows the closeness that has developed between the Bush and Obama families over the years, so it came as no surprise that Michelle would put her own plans on hold to honour the 41st President. We’d expect nothing less.
I hope readers and ticket holders will understand my decision regarding my desire to attend President Bush’s funeral, and join me in paying tribute to him and his tremendous contributions to our world.
