Priyanka Chopra celebrated her wedding anniversary with a dog for Nick Jonas

The traditional first anniversary gift is paper, but if you’re Priyanka Chopra, it’s a strange dog in your bed licking your face first thing in the morning. That’s how Chopra woke up her new husband Nick Jonas to mark their first year of marriage, with a gift that keeps on giving. We mean giving every inch of furniture a new layer of hair and giving shoes an unwanted makeover (for the first two years at least).Chopra filmed Jonas in bed, which was already enough excitement for fans, but throw in a German Shepherd puppy and this is the kind of content that can go viral by noon. The 37-year-old actor woke up her 27-year-old husband by bringing the new pup into their bedroom, leading to what we can only assume was a very confusing way to wake up. Jonas looks confused in the video, because of course, with the singer asking the dog to identify himself. “He doesn’t have a name yet,” says Chopra.Well, he does now and it’s Gino, as in Gino the German Shepherd. “Pri came home with the absolute best surprise this morning,” wrote Jonas, who shared the sweet video on Instagram. “I haven’t stopped smiling since I woke up this morning and finally realized what was going on.” Chopra was quick to comment on her husband’s video, writing “Happy almost anniversary babu. ur face..hilarious.”

The super cute pup already has his own Instagram handle, @ginothegerman, and boasts 218,000 followers. His bio reads “My daddy’s a Rockstar,” which sounds like Jonas is the sole caregiver of Gino and therefore in charge of backyard cleanups. Gino’s Instagram game is already on point, with the pup sharing his first selfie, pictures with dad, and a throwback snap.

Gino has already been welcomed into the family by older sister Diana, who Chopra rescued back in 2016. Diana has already appeared in magazines with her famous mom and walked the red carpet at the MET Gala with her parents, so it’s safe to say that Gino is going to have an A-list lifestyle.

Nick and Priyanka were married in a lavish three-day ceremony at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India which culminated in the pair saying ‘I do’ on December 1, 2018. The couple celebrated with both a traditional Indian wedding and a Western ceremony, with their nuptials going down as one of the most iconic of the decade.
