‘Happy Birthday’ is so last week. Your fave Hollywood couple, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, are adding to the tunes we collectively wash our hands to. After being nominated by Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director General of the World Health Organization (yep, the WHO nominated her) to partake in the #SafeHands challenge, the actress didn’t disappoint. Singing along to the tune ‘If You’re Happy and You Know It’ in a 2020 pandemic-esque remix, we can only assume the cinematographer of her epic singing debut is none other than Mr. Jonas himself.“It’s a simple thing to do, let’s do it for me and you,” she sings to her 51.2M Instagram followers as she suds up for at least 20 to 35 seconds -- the required amount of handwashing time recommended by the WHO. The handwashing challenge, which has been making its way around social media, started as a video to help people learn to wash their hands properly. Yeah, that’s an issue. Other celebrities have taken up the challenge, including Selena Gomez, Dr. Oz and Gloria Gaynor in her epic ‘I Will Survive’ video.

Chopra and Jonas have been on lockdown for almost three weeks, citing concerns about underlying health conditions for both of them. In the interview, Jonas asked about what other precautions the couple should take, seeing as though he is Type I diabetic and Chopra has asthma. Handwashing was top on the list.

and right now we’re all searching for clarity. My friends at @WHO and @glblctzn graciously brought the doctors working on the front lines here to give us answers straight from the experts. Please take some time to watch my IG Live with Dr. Tedros (General-Director at W.H.O.) and Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove (Technical Lead for Covid-19) from @WHO, who answered some questions that so many of you sent in. Guys, let’s make it our duty to donate to @WHO and stand in solidarity to help flatten the curve (link is up in my bio ??) and please tag your friends and family below who are looking for answers and action steps ? Thank you so much Dr. Tedros and Dr. Maria for taking the time, and thank you @glblctzn for everything you do. Everyone please be responsible, stay home and stay safe ❤️ #Covid19 #Coronavirus #WorldHealthOrganization

The 37-year-old Bollywood star, who has held the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador title for ten years, isn’t shy to humanitarian work. She’s the founder of The Priyanka Chopra Foundation for Health and Education, a nonprofit organization that helps sick children and their families around the world. In 2019, she was awarded with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award at the star-studded Snowflake Ball in December. But Jonas is no slouch either. In the past, the Jonas Brothers have supported the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Special Olympics and DoSomething.org.The couple, who tied the knot in December 2018, have also been sharing what they’ve been up to during their lockdown, with adorable pics of their overgrown pup, Gino.
Chopra nominated Kate Bosworth, Mindy Kaling and, of course, hubby Nick to the handwashing challenge. “OH OH ACCEPTED! Love you beauty XO” wrote Bosworth and Kaling commented, “Fantastic message, catchy tune!”We eagerly await the next set of vids.[video_embed id='1927489']BEFORE YOU GO: This couple's hilarious horse dance has gone viral[/video_embed]
