TIFF is finally drawing to a close this weekend, and it seems to be going out on a high note with Priyanka Chopra stepping out last night to premiere her new film, The Sky is Pink. The film, directed by Shonali Bose is based on the true life story of Aditi and Niren Chaudhary, parents of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary. Aditi and Niren were also in attendance.
While the movie is getting rave reviews so far, we can’t help but give something else a rave review: Priyanka’s black and white frilled Marchesa dress, which looked stunning on the red carpet.
The drama, the volume, the elegance. That’s how you do a world premiere. And if you think the front is spectacular, wait ’til you see the back:
That isn’t all the actress was spotted in. At Roy Thompson Hall and at the etalk studios during an interview with Chloe Wilde, the actress wore a delightful lime green two piece (not for the faint of heart, but Priyanka is one to shine).
The actress even shared a drawing of the outfit by illustrator Lauren Pearson via social media.
And while you surely can’t tell from the photos, the star also took to Instagram Stories to ask her followers, “What do you do when you’re nervous?” The answers ran the gamut, everything from thinking of mom’s warm hugs to imagining everyone naked to listening to great music (like the Jonas Brothers) to which Priyanka replied, “Good one!” After the evening, she thanked fans for sending their love and for all their tips on nerves as she was “nervous today.”
Who would’ve thought?
