Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are one of those celebrity couples that you don’t hear from often. Unlike some other famous couples who play out their entire relationships online or in the spotlight, these two have barely even been photographed together (apart from official red carpet duties) and their relationship is kept very much on the down-low. That seems to be working for them because they’ve been together for nearly a decade and we can’t point to a single public spat from the Gosling-Mendes camp. #RelationshipGoals. Now, because of the COVID-19 global pandemic forcing all of Hollywood to shut down and everyone to stay home, these two are reportedly taking it all in stride as their home life with their kids has always been their number one priority.Us Weekly is reporting that their main focus has always been their two daughters, Esmeralda, 5, and Amada, 3 – so much so that Eva hasn’t worked in about 6 years and Ryan hasn’t worked in almost 2 years. A source told the magazine, “They’re hands-on parents and don’t have any nannies. Being confined to their home with two small children is exhausting at times, especially without hired help.” Wow, the coronavirus really is the great equalizer because now celebs have to parent like the rest of us normal folk. Kidding! (Not kidding).A second insider close to the couple told the magazine, “Eva has programmed her entire routine and career to ensure family comes first — then work fits in around it. Ryan is protective of Eva and a very doting dad.”Originally from London, Ontario, Gosling reportedly spends hours each day with his family, “reading to the kids, snuggling on the couch, watching movies, and cooking together.” When they do go out, they enjoy going to parks and to farmers markets, but we think those activities have probably been curbed as of late, seeing as how most parks are locked up and the farmers markets have shut down to stop the spread of COVID-19.The duo, who met on the set of the 2011 film noir The Place Beyond The Pines, have very infrequently given us a rare glimpse into their home life, and last year Eva Mendes spoke a little about the extended support they receive from their families to help raise Esmeralda and Amada. “We have an amazing support group: Ryan’s mom, my mom, Ryan’s and my sisters. It’s a village that helped us.”[video_embed id='1916119']RELATED: Eva Mendes has always had a nuanced outlook on relationships[/video_embed]
