Santa wasn’t the only one rewarding good behaviour this holiday season.

Police in Quebec rang in the holidays by doing something a little unusual: Instead of handing out tickets, they were handing out cash. That’s right: cold, hard cash.

Longueuil, Quebec, officers received a $2,500 donation from an anonymous source this year, so they thought they’d pay it forward by sharing it with the local community. To do that, cops literally drove around on Christmas day pulling over people whom they deemed “most in need.” But as the officers approached the cars, drivers were relieved to be handed $100 bills.
