If your grandparent is anything like our grandparents, they’re not the most savvy when it comes to social media. It’s understandable, right? What with the small print and the buttons. Oh, the buttons. There are likes and friending and filters and yellow smiley faces. And don’t even get them started on Twitter, what with the piddly 140-character limit, not to mention all those pound keys. What’s that all about anyway?

At least, that’s what we assume Queen Elizabeth wondered aloud when she decided to hop on Twitter and show the world just how amazing and technologically advanced she can be.

Her Majesty sent out a thank you message to all her supporters. And it was amazing.

Um, “digital messages?” Adorbs. And of course she signed it. Such a lovable grandma thing to do. Or in her case, great-grandma.

And in case you were wondering whether or not that tweet really came for her, or was actually just someone tweeting for her, let the palace reassure you that this was all the Queen.

OK, so the first tweet was personally sent by her but was this one? Probably not. As soon as she was done, you know she handed that tablet back to one of her staffers and let them do the rest. Because if you can, why wouldn’t you? #AdorableGreatGrandmum #QueenAt90 #90IsTheNew30
