Halloween may be over for another year, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to celebrate the undisputed Queen of Costumes, Heidi Klum. The supermodel once again ditched the store-bought costume route and went for a makeover so dramatic that we can’t believe she hasn’t won an Emmy for best makeup. Time for the awards show to add a new category. This year, Klum brought fans along for her transformation journey, both in person and on social media. Not only did Klum post several videos of herself turning into a biohazard body, she also gave fans a literal front row seat to her process by sitting in the window of the Amazon bookstore on 34th street in New York City.

Once inside the suit, it was time to apply the paint, but not before a quick pasta break. Carbs are key to surviving a long Halloween.

After more than 12 hours in the makeup chair, Klum arrived at her party in a biohazard truck. Kaulitz joined his wife in a matching costume, dressing as an astronaut who appeared to have been mauled by Klum.Heidi Klum’s history with Halloween is one of legends, with the model throwing her annual spooky party and continually being the best dressed attendee. If you’re shocked by the detail and time that went into her latest biohazard costume, you may want to look back on just a small sampling of her previous Halloweens. There was last year’s Shrek transformation into lovable Princess Fiona. In 2017 she was unrecognizable as werewolf-Michael Jackson from the “Thriller” video, complete with a backup group of zombies. In 2016, she paid homage to herself and walked the red carpet of her Halloween party with an army of Heidis.Klum transformed into Jessica Rabbit in 2015, proving that even when you can’t tell it’s Heidi Klum, she’s still super-hot.At her 2014 Halloween party, Klum took flight as a butterfly. And in 2013, Klum launched her audition for This Is Us (kidding, but it could work), aging herself decades and dressing as an elderly woman complete with varicose veins and wrinkles. We bow down to the ruler of Halloween.Klum even had a cake at her party that was decorated with costumes from past years. Somewhere, Heidi Klum is already busy planning her Halloween outfit for 2020.
