Quentin Tarantino is about to take on his most important role yet — fatherhood!
The 56-year-old director and his wife, Israeli singer and model Daniella Pick, are expecting their first child together, telling People they’re “very delighted” by the news.
The couple initially met in Israel while Tarantino was promoting his action-packed film Inglorious Basterds back in 2009, and after reconnecting years later, became engaged in 2017. In true Tarantino style, the pair celebrated their love with a star-studded engagement party in September 2017 featuring a guest list that included Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman, and Samuel L. Jackson.
Tarantino and Pick, 35, tied the knot in November 2018 at an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles, attended by some of Tarantino’s close friends and longtime collaborators Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, and Eli Roth.
Often warning fans that his 10th film will be his last, a baby announcement seemingly couldn’t come at a better time for Tarantino, who’s fresh off the success of his ninth film Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. Headlined by Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt (did we mention how much we approve of that casting decision?) the critically-acclaimed action-drama is already picking up awards season buzz.
With another box office success under his belt, it seems like Tarantino is ready for an entirely new challenge, as he awaits the arrival of a new character on the set of his life.
Congratulations to the happy couple, and soon to be parents! We can only wonder… what will the guest list for the baby shower look like?
