If you’ve got 10 minutes, a cell phone and a WiFi connection, you’ve got all the prerequisites for the new streaming service launching today in Canada. Quibi (short for “quick bites”) is now available with a whole world of content—comedies, dramas, reality TV—all broken into episodes that are 10 minutes or shorter and optimized for viewing on a cell phone. Plus, did we mention, like a million of your favourite celebs are involved? You may be spending more time indoors these days, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you have more time to watch 45-minute episodes of anything. You’re busy—you need something entertaining to throw on quick while you make a PB&J or hide from your kids in the bathroom or do a few dishes. In the span of 10 minutes, you can see Liam Hemsworth evade murder at the hands of Christoph Waltz; watch Sophie Turner in a twisty psychological thriller; and experience the comedic stylings of Will Forte, Kaitlin Olson, Andy Garcia and Eva Longoria in a house-flipping extravaganza gone wrong. With all that and so much more coming to the platform, we’ve put together 11 things to look forward to once you get your subscription (because there are more reasons to watch Quibi than minutes in a Quibi episode).

1. JLo showering people in money

We love a story where deserving people get some relief from their financial struggles—better yet when the whole ordeal involves Jennifer Lopez plus a cast of other celebs lending a helping hand. In the JLo-produced Thanks a Million, big name celebs like Kristen Bell, Nick Jonas, Kevin Hart and Karlie Kloss start a chain of kindness by gifting $100,000 to an unsuspecting ordinary citizen. Over 10 episodes, they’ll gift a total of a million dollars and hopefully change some lives. Celebs and heartwarming kindness, what’s not to love?

2. Chrissy’s epic statement necklaces and sassy judgement

We knew Chrissy Teigen would be coming at us with a delightfully petty courtroom reality show, but we had no idea just how styling she was going to be while passing down meaningless judgments. Obviously, she’s an icon in every respect, but who could have predicted that she’d dress up her judge's robes on Chrissy’s Court with statement collars to rival Cleopatra and Ruth Bader Ginsberg? Not us, that’s for sure. Come for the piping hot tea, stay for the lesson in statement jewellery.

3. Titus Burgess, Antoni Porowski and Dan Levy. ‘nuff said.

Please just think about this trio for one moment. It doesn’t even matter what they’re doing together, the Quibi subscription is worth it just to see Titus Burgess interacting with modern Canadian LEGENDS, Antoni Porowski and Dan Levy. Titus hosts the off-the-rails cooking show, Dishmantled, in which contestants are blasted in the face with a dish and then have to recreate it in 30 minutes. It sounds impossible and impossibly silly, but that’s what makes it fun for us at home.

4. Reese reminding us who run the world

Beyoncé may be the unequivocal leader running the human world, but Reese Witherspoon is diving into the animal world to prove exactly the same point—women run things. Reese narrates the quirky nature doc, Fierce Queens, which examines how the female of certain species runs things. From cheetahs to octopi to spiders—the women are large and in charge, truly calling into question why it’s called the “animal kingdom” when it’s clearly dominated by queens.

5. LeBron James making kids’ dreams come true

LeBron James is just one of those superhuman people who seems like he can seriously do it all. Not only is he an incredible athlete (duh), in 2018, he founded the I Promise School for kids grades one to eight in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. The school gives underprivileged kids the opportunity to grow past their circumstances to reach their true potential. The Quibi series I PROMISE centres on these kids and the school as LeBron makes dreams a reality. Perfect if you want to get your cry on, 10 minutes at a time.

6. Chance the Rapper is the new Ashton Kutcher

Did anyone else feel like the ending of Punk’d in 2007 really left an Ashton Kutcher-sized hole in the entertainment landscape. You are not alone. Chance the Rapper is here to fill that void along with other celeb guests like Lil Nas X, Offset and Megan Thee Stallion. Obviously Chance is great, but how can you not want to see Lil Nas X in a reality TV scenario. The man is a living meme!

7. Nicole Richie (hopefully) in the wildest 2020 satire we’ve ever seen

Is it possible to describe Nicole Richie’s new show? Honestly, no. Nicole stars in Nikki Fre$h where she plays a parody of a person who is “a gardener, a speaker for the bees and a trap icon.” She specializes in socially conscious “Parent Trap” which is geared toward “teachers, rabbis, Virgos, but mostly moms and gays.” Also Bill Nye the Science Guy is there. And Nicole’s dad, Lionel Richie. It’s bananas. Please just watch the trailer for yourself.

8. All the news and all the sports without all the other stuff

Should we all be up on the news? Yeah. Do we all have the mental bandwidth to watch an hour-long news program every day? Sadly, no. When the news is too much (either time-wise or mentally), Quibi’s got you with totally digestible Daily Essentials, 10-minute-or-less programs that tell you what you need to know and nothing more. Newsday by CTV News and Newsnight by CTV News will give you a peek at what’s going on in the world twice a day plus Sports AM by TSN will start your morning off with a helping of the biggest sports headlines of the day.[video_embed id='1934924']Chrissy Teigen and John Legend talk 'Chrissy's Court' in quarantine[/video_embed]

9. Keke Palmer helping (or hindering) singles in their quest for love

In a world of COVID-19 quarantine and Love is Blind, Singled Out is really picking the perfect moment for its resurgence. The dating show went off air in 1998, but like so much else from the '90s, it’s back, baby! Keke Palmer hosts as 30 singles vie for the affection of one dater over three rounds of competition. Can you find love in 10 minutes? We don’t know about that genuine romantic stuff, but that’s more than enough time to fall for a new show.

10. A hot Bachelorette alum hanging out with dogs

Hands up if you think Tyler Cameron was robbed of the love he deserved on The Bachelorette (don't worry, it might be all better now). Well, forget the relationship drama and focus in on his hella hot carpentry skills and how he puts them to good use housing adorable doggos. Tyler and interior designer Delia Kenza bring us Barkitecture—the perfect intersection of pets, reality TV and home renovation shows.

11. Demi Lovato coming in with the life chats

You know how Demi Lovato seems like one of the most down-to-earth people who would be the absolutely perfect candidate for a sleepover deep-chat? Quibi agrees and that’s why they gave Demi her own talk show, Pillow Talk with Demi Lovato, where she chats about everything from relationships to body image to gender identity with celebrity friends and experts. If you’ve ever wanted Demi to make a cameo at your slumber party, this is for you.Quibi is available in Canada April 6.[video_embed id='1915956']Here are some things you can expect to see on Quibi[/video_embed]
