Rings, vows and cigarettes for M-K and Olivier
And you thought they wouldn’t last. Former Full House star (and not future star of Fuller House) Mary-Kate Olsen and French banker Olivier Sarkozy tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Manhattan on Friday. And the reception, held at a private residence, was like no other.
There were “bowls and bowls filled with cigarettes, and everyone smoked the whole night,” a source told Page Six.
M-K, 29, and Oli, 46, began dating in May 2012, got engaged in March 2014 and defied the odds. Congrats to the smoky pair!
Sinead O’Connor found safe after suicidal Facebook post
What appeared to be a suicide note posted on Sinead’s Facebook page on Sunday was another cry for help. The singer sparked all kinds of concern when she wrote about “appalling cruelty” inflicted by her family and police, and how over the past week, she had been fighting with her exes over their children.
“The last two nights finished me off,” she said in her latest post. “I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name.”
The singer has spoken candidly about her mental health issues in the past and had told Oprah Winfrey in 2007 that she attempted suicide on her 33rd birthday in 1999. In 2011, O’Connor sparked concern online and received a visit from police after tweeting what appeared to be a suicidal message.
The day before her troubling post, O’Connor wrote that her sons’ fathers and eldest son were “refusing to let me see my sons,” one of whom she claims is “very dangerously sick.” She also referenced a hysterectomy she had undergone and said she got depressed after the operation “because I got left all alone to recover.” Now she is “desperately in need of a job and a place to live.”
She wrote: “Music is over for me. Music did this. Rendered me invisible even unto my children. Murdered my soul. I’m never going back to music.”
Many people not only commented but also contacted authorities to check on her. Thankfully she’s been located and found “safe and sound,” and police say she is getting medical help.
Johnny Depp kissing Benedict Cumberbatch is everything you could have wanted and more
Otters are adorable. Benedict Cumberbatch is adorable. And more often than not, Johnny Depp is adorable. Put them together on The Graham Norton Show and what do you got? You got it — adorableness!
Years ago, Cumberbatch sparked a meme that compared him to an otter. Naturally, Norton brought it up and introduced Depp to the phenomenon. And when Graham asked Benedict to pose for a few more shots, he was game. And in one, he got some help from Johnny — who was totally game and happily smooched him.
The results? Spectacular.
Hayden Panettiere makes first appearance since getting treatment for postpartum
It’s been seven weeks since Hayden Panettiere revealed she was “voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center as she is currently battling postpartum depression.” Like her Nashville character, Juliette Barnes, she was struggling after the birth of her daughter, Kaya, whom she and fiancé Wladimir Klitschko welcomed last December.
But Hayden was all smiles at the IBF IBO WBO World Heavyweight World Championship Fight in Duesseldorf, Germany, where she was supporting her man. (Sadly, Wladimir lost, ending his nine-year reign.) But Panettiere is in a better place; he wins no matter what.
Anne Hathaway is going to be a mom so hopefully people will stop hating her for no reason
We’ve never understood why people detested the actress so much but with news that she and Adam Shulman are expecting their first child, hopefully all the Hathahate will come to an end.
A source told E! Online that Anne is in already in her second trimester, so that’s one reason to love her, right? She didn’t make a public announcement that she was expecting and just let her tummy do the talking.
Hathaway has been open about starting a family with Shulman, whom she married in September 2012 after four years of dating.
“I think about it all the time, though it’s a silly thing to think about because the kind of mother I’ll be depends on the kind of children I have,” she told Vogue in 2012. “I can’t wait to meet them.”
Neither can we. Congrats, Anne and Adam!
