Here at The Loop, we’ve written about a lot of dumb criminals.

We covered the student who allegedly had sex with a sheep to relieve exam stress. We covered the woman who started spraying breast milk to cause a distraction. We even covered the man accused of trying to steal a chainsaw by stuffing it down his pants.

None compare to this guy.

Police in L.A. captured a strange high speed chase on video via helicopter yesterday. It starts out like any typical car theft: The reckless culprit almost smashes into several cars before finally hitting one, forcing him to bail out. But instead of just running, this alleged criminal came prepared for a quick getaway.

He brought a skateboard.

Now, we aren’t engineers here at The Loop, but something tells us police cruisers probably move faster than skateboards. You know, with the engines and all. But the story turns even more bizarre after a civilian finally intervened and cut the crook off with his truck. That civilian turned out to be none other than Joe Pizarro — the star and creator of television show Operation Repo.

Which is a good thing, because they’ll probably have to impound that skateboard. Check out the video above.
