Walk into nearly any beauty boutique and you’ll spot a few members of The Club of Lonely Husbands waiting out front. Most boyfriends and husbands won’t even walk through the doors of a Sephora with their partner, let alone help with the shopping and/or application process. But one picture of an elderly couple in the makeup section of a department store has gone viral, spreading with it a message of timeless love and proving that not all men are afraid to get a little mascara on their hands.
This is Jean and Brian, an elderly couple that comes into the makeup department daily so Brian can do makeup lessons. Why? Because Jean is going blind and love is a beautiful, beautiful thing.
The origins of the photo, story and where the impossibly cute couple lives are not known (this site claims the location may be Dublin), but the emotional people of the web don’t care. The image and accompanying caption first appeared online days ago:
“Why I love my job so much!” the anonymous poster writes. “Meet Jean and Brian two of our very loyal customers, Brian was in for another make up lesson today as he does his wife’s make up every day as she is going blind, such a wonderful couple that live their life to the full!”
The post may be anonymous, but it didn’t take long for social media to get ahold of the heartwarming story. Twitter’s Scott Summers appears to have been the first to post the relationship goal inspo on mainstream social. And he wasn’t the only one who saw the couple’s actions as “relationship goal” worthy–plenty of others found the story moving.
Where can I find a man this dedicated? Not going blind, just lazy.

Again, is it dusty in here or is someone cutting onions?

Regardless of where, when and who this post comes from, it’s modern proof that true love exists and it knows no boundaries. If you’ve gone blind from tears after reading this, hopefully there’s a Brian waiting outside that can help you with your makeup. We could all use a Brian.
