Here’s the thing about cocktails–they can be super-precious and complicated.

Not this one. We spoke with Glenfiddich about simple ways to incorporate a beautifully aged scotch into a hot winter cocktail, and it turns out that it could not be easier. Scotch on its own (the older the better!) is an absolute delight, whether its consumed by a fire or not. Add a splash of hot apple cider? Well, that’s called flavourtown and we’d like to live there permanently. Serves 1.

What you need

How it’s made

  1. Heat cider in a sauce pot until gently simmering, take off heat.
  2. Combine warm cider with scotch, stirring.
  3. Add a cinnamon stick and lemon slice for garnish.
