Olive Garden cravings are no laughing matter, especially for Canadians, since a trip to the Italian comfort-food chain typically means getting permission from a US border guard first. But fear not, hungry Canucks, because we’re about to make your life a little bit easier. Or, at least more delicious. We’ve got a recipe to make your very own Zuppa Toscana at home, and it’s way easier than you’d think. Now, if only we could get our hands on their bread sticks.

Zuppa Toscana

WHAT YOU NEED

  • 3 potatoes, diced
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 white onion, minced
  • 2 garlic gloves, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups chopped kale

WHAT YOU DO

  1. In a slow cooker, mix together potatoes, sausage, onion, garlic, broth, and salt and pepper.
  2. Cook on high for 3-4 hours, or on low for 6-7 hours.
  3. With 30 minutes remaining, add heavy cream and kale. Stir and leave to finish cooking.
  4. Serve, and enjoy!
