When you think of tequila, you probably think of the distinct after-taste, the sour lime and maybe salt? Well, not anymore. We asked Adrian Stein, self-proclaimed ‘Drinksmith’ at Tequila Tromba to whip us up something hot and tasty to beat the winter blues. And, well, he delivers with this intoxicating and sinful treat that mixes a few of our favourite things: booze, coffee and chocolate! Serves 1.

What you need

  • 1 shot of espresso
  • 0.5 oz. Frangelico
  • 0.5 oz. Creme de Cacao
  • 1 oz. Tequila Tromba
  • 250 ml milk
  • 0.75 oz. simple syrup
  • Whipped cream
  • Powdered cocao

How it’s made

  1. Prepare a shot of espresso the way you like it.
  2. Add the espresso to a mixture of Frangelico, Creme de Cacao and Tequila Tromba.
  3. Top the mixture with freshly steamed milk.
  4. Garnish with whipped cream and powdered cocao.
