Reese Witherspoon and Offset bond over cars in surprise live chat
Reese Witherspoon and Offset. Name a more iconic (and unexpected) duo… we’ll wait.
Earlier today, everyone’s favourite southern belle took to Instagram Live with none other than rapper-turned-NCIS guest star Offset for a conversation no one saw coming, and provided exactly the kind of pure content we need right now.
Witherspoon was charming as ever, with the most “hanging on every word you say” expression glued to her face while chatting with the Migos star. So what exactly did they bond over? Cars.
It seems the hip hop star and the actress have more than their Southern upbringings in common — they both also share a love for automobiles, with Offset (casually) mentioning that he owns thirty (cool cool.)
Something else they have in common? Reese and Offset both have shows launching on Quibi today, with Reese narrating the nature series Fierce Queens, and the rapper hosting a car show, Skrrt With Offset. So yeah, the pair had a lot to talk about. Who would have thought Witherspoon and Cardi B’s beau would strike up such a natural friendship? We definitely didn’t, but we (and everyone else online) are here for it. Move over Martha and Snoop, it seems you have some competition.

Perhaps the best part? During the live chat, Witherspoon told Offset that her Dad has a 1975 Cadillac Eldorado sitting in his driveway, and that definitely grabbed the rapper’s attention. After explaining that the Eldorado was the first car she drove, Offset whistled, “FIRE! That’s crazy. That’s lit. That car is probably worth like 80 grand right now.”

Understandably, viewers in the comments couldn’t believe the friendship that was budding before their eyes. And after hearing that the car might be collecting dust in Nashville, Offset told Reese, “Let me buy it. I’ll clean it up, I’ll fix it up.”
