Canadians are falling in love with Canada’s new “First Family.” And we know this sounds like a line, but, um, Mrs. Trudeau, haven’t we seen you somewhere before? If you’ve been scratching your head trying to figure it out, we’ll solve it for you: She was a correspondent on CTV’s etalk.

Before she became the prime minister’s wife and mum of three, Sophie Grégoire (as she was known then) spent five years asking the questions as opposed to answering them. Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, even mom-in-law Margaret Trudeau were some of her interviewees. And her interviews—whether on red carpets or in hotel rooms, both at home and abroad—were always full of humour, laughter and that giant smile she’s become known for. It’s no wonder she looks so at ease in front of the camera these days. She knows how to work it, and we Canadians just can’t get enough of it.

Relive some of her best (and wackiest) moments in the clip above.
