Celine’s one and only
It’s been nearly nine months since Rene Angelil passed away, and Celine Dion is still feeling his absence. She was on CBS Sunday Morning and spoke about the power of their love and admitted that Rene was not just the only man she ever loved, but also the only man she had ever kissed.
“Before he left, it was very, very difficult for all of us,” Dion said in an interview celebrating her 1,000th performance at Caesars Palace. “For me especially, and my children, to see the man of my life die a little bit more every day. And when he left, it was kind of a relief for me that the man that I love, the only man that I kissed, the only man that I loved — yeah, I never kissed another man in my life. So the man of my life was my partner, and we were one. So when he stopped suffering, I said to myself, ‘He’s OK. And he deserves not to suffer.'”
She added that she’s not ready to move on anytime soon. “Not now. Uh-uh. … I love him. I’m still in love with him. And I have the love of my children. I have the love of my fans. I love the people that I work with. So my life is not empty of love.”
She added: “There’s a song from Sia, ‘I go to sleep and imagine that you’re there with me.’ And I go to bed with him. And I come on stage with him. And so, I’m still married to him.”
Aw, Celine. Her devotion is beautiful and whether she finds love again or is never ready for it, as long as she has love and can find peace and happiness in her life, that’s all that matters.
The royals were passionate about World Mental Health Day
Monday marked World Mental Health Day and Prince William, Duchess Kate and Prince Harry got together at the London Eye and were joined by people who support those in need. The party was at County Hall, on the south bank of the River Thames, and they celebrated with members of their charities benefiting from Heads Together.
Will, Kate and Harry each spoke about mental health …
… before taking a ride on the ferris wheel.
It may be the day after World Mental Health Day, but we can all still celebrate anyone who needs or has given support through tough times.
Geri Halliwell is pregnant with her second baby spice
Ginger Spice is having another baby, and announced her news to the world with an adorable Instagram photo.
This is Halliwell’s first child with husband Christian Horner; the baby will join her 10-year-old daughter Bluebell Madonna from a previous relationship. But will things be spicier this time around? If our dreams are meant to come true, Halliwell will be joining Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton for a reunion tour.
Congrats to Geri, Christian and Bluebell, and fingers crossed for the rest of us that the Spice Girls tour (minus Victoria Beckham, sigh) is a go.
Sorry, ladies, but Shia is officially off the market
It was just last year that we all thought things were over for Shia LaBeouf and his girlfriend, Mia Goth, after the two had a fight in Germany. What started out as an argument escalated to a physical altercation and things weren’t looking good. But then a few days passed and they were fine. OK, sure. Well, more than fine, because now they’re married.
TMZ reports the couple eloped at Viva Las Vegas, where they went with the Elvis and Hawaiian themes. Mia even went to the ceremony in a pink Cadillac, driven by Elvis, of course. Seems fitting with their quirky natures. Here’s hoping all the fights are in their past and this will end happily, not messily.
Oh dear, Drake cancelled the rest of his Summer Sixteen tour
Well, this is a crappy way to wind down Drake’s Summer Sixteen tour. Despite his eagerness to get back on stage after cancelling a few shows (including Toronto) and letting his injured ankle rest, it’s been announced that under doctors’ orders, the final legs will also be postponed.
“Drake suffered a severe ankle injury during the tour which he did his best to power through. By doing this, he made his injury worse. Under doctors’ orders and to ensure Drake only ever gives fans the performances they deserve, he will be postponing the remaining three dates of his Summer Sixteen tour to allow him time to recuperate his ankle injury,” a spokesperson for the singer told People. “Drake’s fans mean the world to him. Seeing their faces and performing his music for them is what he loves to do the most and he can’t wait to get back on stage.”
Lucky for Drake’s European fans, though. The rapper tweeted the dates for his Boy Meets World Tour, which kicks off in Amsterdam on Jan. 21 and will run to March. We’re guessing three months should be enough time for his ankle to heal, but what about his heart? That’s right, there are reports that things are a little off track between Drake and Rihanna. They’re not over, per se, but according to People, they’re keeping their options “open,” if you know what we mean.
Though Rihanna’s Instagram post on Sunday about her exes has everyone wondering if Drake’s included in the bunch.
Whatever’s going on, we know Drake’ll bounce back. His ankle and his heart.
