Rob Lowe is promoting his new series, Wild Bill, in which he plays an American police chief who finds himself working in a small town in England in an attempt to flee his past. Given that he was talking about a British, fish-out-of-water comedy, Lowe apparently thought it would be hilarious to talk about Prince William; more specifically, William’s hair. Even more specifically, his lack of hair.
“Can we talk about William? The future king of your country let himself lose his hair!” Lowe joked during an interview with The Telegraph. “Honestly, one of the great traumatic experiences of my life was watching Prince William lose his hair. He’s going to be the f*cking king of England!”
Lowe continued: “And there’s a pill! The first glimmer that a single hair of mine was going to fall out, I was having that stuff mainlined into my veins. And that’s what I did for the next 30 years.”
That obviously prompted the interviewer to ask Rob if he considered himself more or less vain than British men to which Lowe replied, “British men set a low bar.” Oy.
It’s no secret that William and his brother, Harry, have been losing their hair over the years — but that shouldn’t translate into anything negative. Men lose their hair, it thins, it happens. Some men are even proud of it; testosterone and hair loss go hand-in-hand after all.
Both Will and Harry have grown into their looks and are very handsome men. And while Will had luscious locks before, what he has now is nothing to sneeze at. Just ask Duchess Kate. She seems fine with it.
