Salma Hayek is one of the most ageless stars to ever grace the big screen, but barring a deal with the devil, she is, in fact, aging. And she’s doing it in a badass way. The Oscar-nominated actor posted a selfie on her Instagram page this week and skipped the hair dye, the hours in the makeup chair, and the many, many filters available to airbrush every last sign of human flesh out of the image. Instead, she showed off her grey hair like she don’t care.

Sharing the selfie, which shows Hayek looking happy and healthy while makeup-free and wearing her long hair in natural, loose curls, the Desperado star captioned the image in English and Spanish, writing “#proud of my white hair.”

The image has amassed over 420,000 likes in just 24 hours, with Hayek’s comments section flooded with praise for the image, including a note from Lenny Kravitz, who wrote “You are stunning” and a comment from Jessica Simpson which said “Gorgeous lady.”

Hayek has shared her greys on social media before, posting this picture in January, but this week’s image marks the first time the singer has called out her “white hairs.”

The 52-year-old star has spoken publicly about her commitment to aging naturally, including only using products from her makeup and skin care line Nuance. Speaking with The New York Times in 2017, Hayek detailed her daily skincare regimen, which includes cleansing only at night (“If I cleanse very well at night, why would it be dirty when I wake up? It’s for companies to have you use more products.”) and only using products like sunscreen when you need them (“I don’t think the chemicals in sunscreen are good for your skin. I believe in using it when you need it.”)

Hayek also recommends waking up your skin with a spritz of rose water in the morning and using a chamomile cleanser from Nuance at night. She is also a proponent of natural cleansers, including using a combination of oatmeal, almond milk, and honey, which also sounds like a delicious breakfast.

As for her haircare, Hayek says she’d rather be enjoying life than sitting in a salon. “It’s my natural color, and it’s my natural white hairs. One of the reasons I don’t dye my hair is because I don’t have the patience to sit through it,” says Hayek. “I don’t want to spend what’s left of my youth pretending I’m younger and then not enjoying life.”

That’s a great philosophy, but what if your salon has a great magazine selection?
