Remember that empowering, inclusive, glorious speech Duchess Meghan gifted to the students at Fiji’s University of the South Pacific as well as the rest of us around the world? Pfft, of course you do. Not only was it just a couple of days ago, but her stunning words resonated with people everywhere — though there are some who claim Meghan’s fancy trousers are on fire. OK, not so much “some” but one person in particular. We’ll give you three guesses.
Oh, you only needed one? Silly us. Yup, Meghan’s estranged sister, Samantha Markle, is calling BS on how the Duchess afforded her university education. Sigh. Once Megs announced her pregnancy we thought Samantha would be respectful and behave herself. Again, silly us.
Thomas Markle paid for the little red school house, immaculateb heart and Northwestern University for my sister. Anything that avoids or denies that truth,… is a lie.

It takes a lot of audacity, and deceit to lie about something as important as funding of a college education. To take that dignity and joy away from dad is morally unconscionable. He funded her education from day one through northwestern graduation. Fact

These were Megs’ exact words in her speech: “It was through scholarships, financial aid programmes and work-study where my earnings from a job on campus went directly towards my tuition – that I was able to attend university.” Which seemingly contradicts everything Samantha has said about Thomas Markle and how he gave Meghan “everything she had and is.” But if you re-read that line, get past the way Brits spell “programs” and parse the hell out of it, Megs didn’t say she paid for her entire tuition (not to mention housing, books, meal plans, etc.); she merely stated that she got help via programs and a part-time job which went towards all the costs. Did Thomas also contribute to some of the costs? Maybe. Because a university education is damn expensive. But does she feel like giving her father props after everything that’s been said and done? Probably not.
