Congrats to Scarlett Johansson and her fiancé, Romain Dauriac. The couple have welcomed their first child, her publicist confirmed to the Associated Press. Marcel Pariseau added, “Mother and daughter are doing well.” No word on Dad.
Their daughter, Rose Dorothy (sound at all familiar, Golden Girls fans?), was born in New York City. The baby’s middle name pays homage to the actress’ grandmother, whom she called “the first Francophone in my family” while accepting her honorary César in Paris last February, reports People.
Rose Dorothy is as old-school as it gets. It’s classic and lovely and there’s meaning behind what we know.
Let’s just see what Rose thinks:
And you Dorothy?
But the Blanches and Sophias of this world? Probably not so much.
OK, well, more Blanche than Sophia.
As for any other information, like when she was actually born, that hasn’t been released at this time. And we probably won’t get many more details as Johansson has always been fiercely private. Next up for the couple? A wedding, though exchanging vows is probably far from their minds right now. Welcome sleepless nights!
